Biography
Blaze Kelly Coyle's entertainment career began at the tender age of five when she jumped on stage to sing with the band at her Aunt Donna's wedding. Five years later, Blaze landed her first on-stage acting role as Bielke in Fiddler on the Roof at Cumberland Players. Soon after that, she made several television appearances singing on "The Al Albert's Showcase", "The Chief Halftown Show", and the American Cancer Society Telethon.
In her teens, she continued to pursue a career in entertainment by studying classical voice with Dr. Eugene Thamon Simpson, acting with Madeline Mulford, modeling with Evelyn Bailey and dance at the Arts of the Dance Studio. Her dreams were nearly cut short in college when she was diagnosed with bilateral vocal tumors. Two surgeries, voice rehab, and several months of silence (literally) later and she was ready to begin over again. This time around, she studied her true passion -- jazz and blues -- under the tuteledge of Patti Greer Wackenhut. The sultry voiced redhead has since performed at venues such as the Sands Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, Harrah’s, the NJ Memorial Home, The Library, Danny’s Skylight Room in NYC, and the Mainzer in CA.
Blaze had the exciting opportunity to work as a radio personality for 89.7 WGLS-FM, and then 104.9 WRDR-FM. After WRDR was abruptly sold, she got a job working on-air as a Philadelphia news and traffic reporter for Metro Networks/Westwood One. She landed her very first feature film Mafioso: The Father, the Son and soon left the news business to concentrate on her acting/singing career full time.
Her credits include: The Secrets of the Templesmith Motherhood, Letting Go, Dead Awakenings, The Fallen, Fateful, Liars & Lunatics and Freeze Tag. She's also appeared in commercials for Folger's, VH-1, and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and lends her voiceover talents on dozens of others. Theatrical credits include: The Awakening, Come Away: The Story of Ruth, Always Patsy Cline, Red Hot & Sassy, and Footloose... to name a few. Blaze is also featured on several demo recordings and in 2006 finished a musical entitled O Night Divine, which she co-wrote with WRDR alum Leo Kirschner.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in New Jersey, Blaze is very close to her mother, father, brother, and grandmother. She currently resides in NYC and donates a great deal of time and energy to charitable projects and her Catholic faith.
